Registration for the upcoming Parent Teacher Conferences is now open, providing parents and guardians an opportunity to discuss academic progress with teachers. The conferences are scheduled to be held virtually on Thursday, October 24, from 4 to 7 p.m., and Friday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Interested participants are encouraged to register via PowerPTC at their earliest convenience to secure preferred time slots.
Families and students are reminded that there will be no school on Monday, October 14, in observance of a holiday. The community is also gearing up for West's Homecoming festivities this weekend.
Joliet Catholic Academy is set to host its annual Angel and Hilltopper Banquet on November 7, 2024. This year, the event will feature NFL Hall of Famer and former Chicago Bear Brian Urlacher as the headline guest. The banquet will take place at the Joliet Catholic Academy Student Activity Center in Joliet.

Joliet Catholic Academy is set to host its inaugural Hall of Champions: Service event, scheduled for October 29, 2024. The ceremony aims to recognize graduates from SFA, JCHS, and JCA who have demonstrated a commitment to service within the community.
Shortly before noon, New Lenox police informed Providence Catholic school leadership about a social media post by a student that posed a potential safety threat. Police officers arrived on campus and requested the administration to locate the student. Searches of the student, their locker, and vehicle were conducted, but nothing was found. The student's parent was contacted, and the student left with police officers. Authorities assured that they would maintain a presence on campus for the remainder of the day.
Tomorrow marks a School Improvement Day with early release for students. The schedule for October 10, 2024, follows the "A" Schedule. If a retake is needed, students are advised not to select a yearbook picture yet. Retake Day is scheduled for Monday, October 7th, and is intended for those who need a new picture or have not taken a Yearbook Portrait this year. It is mandatory for all students to have a current portrait in the yearbook.
Jimmy Piko, a junior at Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox, has achieved a rare feat by scoring a perfect 36 on the ACT test. This accomplishment is attained by less than half of one percent of the 1.3 million students who take the ACT annually.
Providence Catholic High School (PCHS) has achieved a milestone in its Spanish Program, supporting the Seal of Biliteracy initiative. This program recognizes students who demonstrate proficiency in multiple languages by the time they graduate.
