Families and students are informed that there will be no classes on April 18 due to the Spring Holiday, offering an extended weekend.
A free food giveaway organized by Hands of Hope is scheduled for April 19 at 511 Oakleaf Court, Joliet, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees are advised to queue on Hammes Avenue without obstructing other businesses.
TRIO will host a Career Exploration Fair at the Joliet Central Cafeteria on April 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. The event welcomes the public to explore career options, volunteering, and internships.
April 24 is designated as School Improvement Day with early release for students. Dismissal times are set at 11:45 a.m. for Central, West, and Pathway students, 11:30 a.m. for AVAC students, and 10:45 a.m. for Transition Center students.
Special Games event on April 25 will celebrate Special Olympic athletes at Joliet Central’s football field, running from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event is open to the public at no cost.
The next Joliet Region Education Community Connectors (JRECC) Meeting is on April 25 with available breakfast at 7:30 a.m. The meeting will conclude by 10 a.m. Attendees will hear from the University of Illinois Extension Nutritional Education Program and JTHS leadership on student discipline matters.
The JTHS CEO Trade Show on April 30 will be hosted at Joliet Junior College’s Main Campus from 5 to 7 p.m., showcasing student-developed businesses.
The annual JTHS Kermes Celebration will take place at Joliet Central on May 1, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The JTHS Spring Orchestra Concert is on May 1, 7 p.m., in the Joliet West Auditorium with free admission.
Joliet West Choir’s Spring Concert is scheduled for May 6 at 7 p.m. in the Joliet West Auditorium.
Another School Improvement Day is scheduled for May 8, with early dismissal times noted previously.
Joliet Central and Joliet West Prom events are both on May 9 at different venues. Tickets are available via the Book Store and online.
Joliet West Band will perform their Spring Concert on May 13 at 7 p.m. in the West Auditorium.
The Volley4Vets event between Joliet Central Steelmen and Joliet West Tigers will occur on May 15, supporting the Disabled Patriot Fund.
The JTHS Board of Education will hold a meeting on May 20 at 7 p.m. Public comments require prior sign-up.
Graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2025 at Joliet Central and West are set for May 24. Further details can be found in related announcements.
The JTHS Foundation’s Brent Wadsworth Alumni Golf Outing on June 5 will be held at Inwood Golf Club, supporting District 204 students and staff.
