The JTHS Foundation will host a Trivia Event on March 9 at 176 West Banquets. Doors open at 2 p.m., with trivia beginning at 3 p.m.
An Athletic Boosters Meeting is scheduled for March 12 at 6 p.m. Parents and community members interested in supporting athletic programs are encouraged to attend.
March 13 is designated as School Improvement Day, resulting in early release for students. Dismissal times vary by school: Central, West, and Pathway students at 11:45 a.m.; AVAC students at 11:30 a.m.; Transition Center students at 10:45 a.m.
Joliet West Choirs invite the community to their spring musical, “The Secret Garden,” from March 14-16 in the Joliet West High School Auditorium. Performances are set for March 14 and 15 at 7 p.m., and March 16 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
The Grandparents Raising Children support group will meet on March 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., providing fellowship and assistance to grandparents and non-custodial caregivers.
A JTHS Board of Education meeting is planned for March 18 at 7 p.m. Public comments can be made by signing up before the meeting starts.
On March 20, the JTHS Orchestra and Central’s Steeltone Choir will hold a Chamber Concert in the Joliet Central Auditorium starting at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
The Central Archives Committee meets on March 20, inviting those interested in preserving JTHS history to participate. The meeting begins at 7 p.m., with community service hours available for attending students.
A Prom Dress, Suit, Accessory & Dress Clothing Sale Event takes place on March 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at Nail Academy Inn located on North Chicago Street.
Spring Break runs from March 24 to March 28, with classes resuming on Monday, March 31.
Joliet Central High School presents its spring musical "Six The Musical: Teen Edition" from April 10-12 in the Joliet Central Auditorium. Tickets cost $10 each and can be purchased at the door.
Lastly, the YMCA Teen Achievers Workshop titled "Finding Free Money for College" will be held on April 12 from 10 a.m. to Noon.
