Joliet West announces route for October homecoming parade

Joliet West High School has announced details for its 2025 Homecoming parade, scheduled for Friday, October 10. The event will begin at 4:15 p.m. in the Joliet West parking lot.

The parade route will proceed east on Glenwood Avenue to Woodlawn, turn left to Douglas, then head south on Westminster. From there, it will turn left and head west to Glenwood before returning to the West parking lot.

Joliet West High School serves students in grades 9 through 12 and is located in Joliet, Will County. In the 2019-2020 school year, enrollment was reported at 3,310 students according to the Illinois Report Card (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). Of these students, grade 9 had the highest concentration with 27.3 percent of all students (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/), while grades 10 through 12 made up roughly a quarter each of the student body (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).

Demographically, during that school year Joliet West’s population consisted of approximately 34.9 percent white students, 21.2 percent black students, 39 percent Hispanic students, and 1.7 percent Asian students as reported by the Illinois Report Card (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
