Joliet Township High School is increasing its use of the Versatrans My Stop app to keep families updated about student transportation as the nationwide bus driver shortage continues. The district announced that it will now send direct push notifications through the app when bus routes are delayed or combined, allowing parents and guardians to receive timely updates on their smartphones.
The app has been available for some time, but this new feature aims to reduce the need for phone calls to the JTHS Transportation Administration Center, especially during peak times when staffing is limited. "Using the Versatrans My Stop app helps ensure you receive critical information even when phone lines are limited. The app allows you to: Track your student’s bus in real time (Note that in some instances, such as when routes are combined, this function may not be available.) Receive push notifications for delays or route changes Stay informed without having to call," according to school officials.
My Stop is only available for morning and afternoon routes and does not cover field trips or activity buses. When routes are combined, real-time tracking may not function correctly; however, users will still get a notification about any changes.
To access Versatrans My Stop on a mobile device, parents can download the app from either the App Store or Google Play and select Joliet Township High School District (IL). The login credentials require an Infinite Campus parent portal username and a child's student ID number. Assistance with logging into Infinite Campus is available for those who have not set up their accounts.

"Thank you for your continued partnership and patience as we work to provide safe and reliable transportation for all students," school officials said.
