Joliet Township High School will hold a community-wide event on Thursday, October 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Joliet Central. The event is open to families, students, staff, and the wider community.
The Community Connections Expo will include a job fair, resource tables for community and school clubs or activities, food vendors, spirit wear sales, and musical entertainment by the Joliet Central Band from 5 to 6 p.m. Breakout sessions focused on preparing students and families for college and careers are scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m. JTHS students who attend one of these sessions will receive two hours of community service credit.
According to organizers, "This interactive event will be held at from 5 to 7 p.m. JTHS students will receive two hours of community service for attending one of our powerful breakout sessions designed to equip students and families for college, careers, and beyond."
Attendees can enter the building through Door G or J (Auditorium Entrance off Eastern Avenue) with parking available in Lots A, B, or C. Another entrance is Door F (Field House off Herkimer Street), with parking in Lots D and E. All guests must pass through the Evolve security system upon entry.
"This free public event will once again feature a variety of valuable offerings, including a Job Fair, community and school club/activity resource tables, food vendors, musical entertainment provided by the Joliet Central Band, and powerful breakout sessions designed to equip students and families for college, careers, and beyond."
