Families and students at Joliet West High School are reminded that September 11, 2025, will be a School Improvement Day with early dismissal. According to the school’s announcement, students will follow the “A” Schedule. Central, West, and Pathway students are scheduled to leave at 11:45 a.m., AVAC students at 11:30 a.m., and Transition Center students at 10:45 a.m.

Joliet West High School serves grades 9 through 12 and had an enrollment of 3,310 during the 2019-2020 academic year. The school is located in Joliet within Will County (source). Of these students, grade 9 accounted for the largest share at 27.3 percent (Illinois Report Card), while grades 10, 11, and 12 made up approximately one-quarter each of the student body (Illinois Report Card). The school’s population is diverse, consisting of about 34.9 percent white students, 21.2 percent black students, 39 percent Hispanic students, and 1.7 percent Asian students as reported in the same period (Illinois Report Card).
