Joliet Catholic Academy (JCA) is organizing a "Step Up Day" for seventh-grade students from local public and private schools. The event, scheduled for April 4, 2025, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and aims to give students a glimpse into high school life.

The day includes various activities designed to engage the students in high school experiences. Students will be assigned to JCA homerooms and attend mini-classes featuring demonstrations, games, or performances in areas such as Fine Arts and Science. They will also have the chance to explore electives not typically available in junior high schools.

Participants will meet with representatives from nearly 40 clubs, organizations, honor societies, and sports teams at JCA. This interaction allows them to ask questions of moderators, coaches, and current JCA students. The day concludes with an official High School Pep Assembly.

Registration for the event can be completed online or through permission forms provided by participating schools. Interested parties are encouraged to contact JCA Admissions at 815-741-0500 if they are unsure whether their school is attending. Registration closes on March 19th.

The event offers a free lunch served by Quest Food Management in the JCA cafeteria.

For further inquiries about Step Up Day or registration details, individuals can reach out to Jared Voss or Mary Ragusa at the JCA Admissions Office located at 1200 N. Larkin Avenue, Joliet, IL.
