Registration is now open for parents and guardians to sign up for virtual Parent Teacher Conferences at Joliet West High School. Families are encouraged to register early to secure preferred time slots.
The conferences for the first semester will be held virtually on Thursday, October 23, from 4 to 7 p.m., and Friday, October 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. According to school officials, these meetings provide an opportunity for parents and teachers to discuss grades, attendance, support services, and any concerns. Students are also encouraged to attend with their parents or guardians.
Registration closes on Friday, October 3 at midnight. To schedule conferences, families should log in using the email address associated with their student’s campus. The initial password is “Jths204,” after which users will be prompted to choose a new password.
Spanish-speaking interpreters are available upon request during scheduling through PowerPTC. For other languages or assistance requesting an interpreter, families can contact Marcela Flores by email.
On Thursday, October 23, students will be dismissed early at 1:15 p.m., and there will be no classes on Friday, October 24 due to the conferences.
Joliet West High School serves grades 9 through 12 in Joliet and Will County and had an enrollment of 3,310 students in the 2019-2020 school year (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). During that period, grade nine had the highest concentration of students at 27.3 percent (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/), followed by grade twelve at 26.1 percent (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/), grade eleven at 25.1 percent (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/), and grade ten at 24.7 percent (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). The student body was composed of approximately 34.9 percent white students, 21.2 percent black students, 39 percent Hispanic students, and 1.7 percent Asian students according to the Illinois Report Card (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
