Families of Joliet West High School are reminded that registration for virtual Parent Teacher Conferences closes at noon on October 3. The school has provided instructions and resources to assist families in logging on and scheduling their conferences.
The Semester 1 Parent Teacher Conferences will be held virtually on Thursday, October 23, from 4 to 7 p.m., and Friday, October 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. To accommodate these meetings, students will be dismissed early at 1:15 p.m. on October 23, and there will be no classes for students on October 24.
Joliet West High School serves grades nine through twelve and had an enrollment of 3,310 students during the 2019-2020 academic year, according to the Illinois Report Card (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). Of those enrolled, grade nine represented the largest group with about 27.3 percent of all students (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/), while grade ten made up about 24.7 percent (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/), grade eleven accounted for roughly 25.1 percent (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/), and grade twelve comprised approximately 26.1 percent (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
The school's student body is diverse; in the same school year, it was composed of approximately 34.9 percent white students, 21.2 percent black students, around 39 percent Hispanic students, and about 1.7 percent Asian students (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
