Lennar has announced a new residential development, Towne Center II, to be located between the existing Towne Center and Fox Bend neighborhoods in Shorewood. Mayor Clarence "CC" DeBold expressed his support for the project, stating, “Towne Center II will be a great addition to Shorewood, and the Village is proud to welcome yet another quality neighborhood for future residents to call home.” He added that they are excited for Lennar to begin this development.

The new community will feature six single-family models on 139 lots, with options including two ranch and four two-story designs. Each model offers three unique architectural styles. House sizes range from 1,866 to 2,907 square feet and include at least three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Prices start from $443k up to $525k.

A large pond will be constructed at the south end of the development, mirroring an existing pond at Towne Center. Additionally, a multi-use bike path will encircle the pond, connecting various parts of the village such as Village Hall and Towne Center Park on one side and a bridge at Jefferson Street and River Road on the other.

Natalie Engel, Economic Development Director for Shorewood, highlighted the importance of improving path connections throughout the village. She stated that “Improving path connections throughout the Village has been a top priority for residents,” adding that Towne Center II would help meet this need by providing more opportunities for walking or biking to village events.

Construction is set to begin in summer this year. Lennar is also planning another development called Auburn Chase near Seil Road and Cene’s Four Seasons Park in Shorewood. Updates on these projects can be found on the Village website.
