Joliet West High School will observe Thanksgiving break from Wednesday, November 26 through Friday, November 28. There will be no classes for students during this period, and school will resume on Monday, December 1.

In a message to the community, the school stated: "We wish our families, students, staff, and entire school community a restful and joyful Thanksgiving holiday. As a reminder, there will be no school for students from Wednesday, November 26 through Friday, November 28. Classes will resume on Monday, December 1."

Joliet West High School serves grades 9 to 12 and had an enrollment of 3,310 students in the 2019-2020 academic year. The school is located in Joliet within Will County. According to data from the Illinois Report Card (source), grade 9 accounted for the highest proportion of students at 27.3 percent during that year.

The student body composition was reported as approximately 34.9 percent white students, 21.2 percent black students, 39 percent Hispanic students, and 1.7 percent Asian students in the same academic year (source).

Students in grades other than ninth were distributed as follows: grade ten made up about one-quarter of enrollment; eleventh graders represented just over a quarter; and twelfth graders comprised about one-fourth of all students (source).
