The Joliet Central and Joliet West high schools have scheduled their proms for May 9. The Joliet Central Prom will be held at Rancho Los Guzman in Joliet, while the Joliet West Prom will take place at DiNolfo’s in Homer Glen. Additional details about the events will be provided as the dates approach.
A resale event for prom dresses, suits, dress clothing, and accessories is set for March 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Nail Academy Inn, located at 160 N. Chicago Street, north of the Rialto Theatre. This event offers an affordable option for those preparing for prom or graduation. Organized by the Hope and Friendship Charity Organization, funds raised will support graduation and end-of-school-year expenses for those in need.
Donations of formal wear, casual dresses, dress shoes, and accessories are being accepted at the Nail Inn Academy on Stephen Street in Lemont from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Volunteers are needed to help organize and set up the sale on March 21 from 3 to 6 p.m., and again on March 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., also at the Nail Inn on North Chicago Street in Joliet. Students participating in this community service opportunity can earn service hours.
