Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More in Shorewood is the latest business to be featured in the Showcase Shorewood Business Spotlight. Located at 1141 Brook Forest Ave, this custom apparel shop offers a variety of printed-to-order items including T-shirts, sweatshirts, pet clothes, and tote bags.
Gail Girard, who owns Big Frog in Shorewood, has been assisting customers with their creative projects for over a decade. She emphasizes customer service, quality garments, and community involvement as key aspects of her business. "We pride ourselves on customer service and making the experience enjoyable and as close to their hopes and dreams for their projects as we can," Girard stated.
The shop offers various decorating techniques such as Direct-to-Garment Printing, Screen Printing, Embroidery, Ultra-Print, Vinyl, among others. There are no minimums or setup fees involved. Designers are available on-site to provide free assistance with a 24-hour turnaround for digital printing on in-stock garments.
Girard shared insights into her journey with Big Frog: "When my position was eliminated... I discovered Big Frog which was an option for a franchise I could buy into and start." She also mentioned that after opening the store 11 years ago she realized that marketing activities were essential to attract customers.
Discussing her favorite part of the job, Girard said: "One is the amazing people I’ve worked with and met through community involvement... And the second part is just that 'Aha!' when a customer sees the finished product."
Big Frog offers services like embroidery, cut vinyl, direct-to-garment printing, heat transfers (including direct-to-film), though screen printing is not done in-house. The design process involves selecting garments and colors based on customer needs.
Girard highlighted the importance of supporting small businesses: "Now more than ever is the time to support small businesses... especially the ones in your community."
