Free mental health support groups launched for Joliet Township High School community
Dr. Brett Marcum Assistant Principal | Joliet West High School

A new set of free mental health support groups is now available for Joliet Township High School students and families, following a partnership between NAMI Will-Grundy and Trinity Services, Inc. The initiative aims to provide accessible support without the need for participants to be current clients or members of either organization.

The Teen Support Group will meet every first and third Wednesday of the month from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Trinity Services, located at 2000 Glenwood Ave, Suite 102 in Joliet. This group offers a space for teens to discuss topics such as mental health, emotions, friendships, and life after high school. Sessions are facilitated by mental health professionals and individuals with lived experience.

For parents and caregivers, the Parent Roundtable takes place on the third Wednesday of each month in the conference room at Trinity Services. This group is designed to help adults connect with others facing similar challenges while gaining insights into teen mental health issues.

No registration is required for either group; walk-ins are welcome.

Eric Jones (ejones@trinityservices.org) and Luke Schedel (lschedel@trinityservices.org) are available for further information at 815-722-4384.

“Please feel free to share this information with any students, families, or staff who may benefit. We hope to see many of our JTHS community members there!”
