Incoming freshmen and their families are reminded that orientation for new students will be held at both Central and West Campus on August 8. Today marks the final day to register for this event.

Transportation is available for students who live 1.5 miles or more from school. Those attending Central Campus and taking the bus should arrive at their designated bus stop by 8 a.m., while West Campus students using bus transportation should report to their stops by 9 a.m. Bus stop locations for the upcoming school year have been made available through provided links.

For those being dropped off by car, Central Campus riders should use the G Door entrance off Eastern Avenue. At West Campus, car riders are to be dropped off at Doors 5 and 6 (Cafeteria) off Glenwood Avenue.

Joliet West High School serves grades 9 through 12 with an enrollment of 3,310 students during the 2019-2020 academic year, according to the Illinois Report Card (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). The largest group within the student body is ninth graders, making up approximately 27.3 percent of all students (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). The school’s demographic composition includes about 34.9 percent white students, 21.2 percent black students, and 39 percent Hispanic students in that same period (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
