Meningitis vaccination clinic set for JTHS students at Joliet Central
Dr. Karla Guseman, Superintendent | Joliet West High School

The Will County Health Department will conduct a meningitis vaccination clinic at Joliet Central High School on August 7, 2025. The event is scheduled from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and will take place in Room 295. Students are advised to enter through J Door on Eastern Avenue, with parking available in Lots A, B, or C.

This clinic is open to all students of Joliet Township High School, including those attending Joliet Central, Joliet West, and Pathways Academy. It aims to assist students in meeting the Illinois state immunization requirements for the upcoming school year.

Vaccinations offered include Meningococcal ACWY (required for seniors), Meningococcal B, and the HPV vaccine. These services are available only to families with Medicaid, no insurance, or who are underinsured. Private insurance holders are not eligible. Vaccinations will be provided on a sliding income-based scale; proof of Medicaid or insurance status is required.

A parent or guardian must accompany students under the age of 18. All freshmen, seniors, and transfer students must submit completed health documentation by August 19, 2025. Seniors need to provide proof of receiving one dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine on or after their 16th birthday.

Families are encouraged to utilize this clinic on August 7th to ensure their student meets immunization requirements before the school year begins.
