Congresswoman Underwood's office has opened the application process for U.S. Service Academy nominations for the Class of 2030. The deadline for submission is the end of November. High school juniors planning to apply to any of the four service academies—U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, or U.S. Merchant Marine Academy—must secure a nomination as part of their application.

Applicants can access the necessary forms and instructions online. Completed applications should be submitted via email.

The application package must include a web application form, high school transcript, at least three letters of recommendation, a resume or list of extracurricular activities and leadership roles, ACT or SAT scores, and a current photo in business or business casual attire.

Eligibility for nomination through Congresswoman Underwood’s office requires residency in Illinois' 14th Congressional District.
