Joliet Central High School will host a Community Thrift Sale organized by AVID freshman and sophomore students. The event will take place on Friday, May 16, from 3:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, May 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It will be held in the school's Multipurpose Room and Galleria.
The sale offers items for $1 each, with proceeds benefiting Pawsitive Impact, an animal welfare organization, and CASA of Joliet, which advocates for children in the court system.
Community members are encouraged to contribute by donating gently used clothing at the Student Center Main Entrance during school hours until Wednesday, May 14.
This initiative is part of a service-learning project led by AVID students aimed at addressing community needs while supporting local causes.
