Spring Fling Week at Joliet Catholic Academy will take place from March 24 to March 29, 2025. Students are encouraged to participate in themed dress-up days throughout the week, with specific guidelines provided for acceptable attire.
The school emphasizes adherence to Spirit Day guidelines and has outlined what is not permissible during the event. Items such as sandals, backless shoes, self-designed logos, or clothing referencing drugs, alcohol, or political slogans are prohibited. The school also bans exposed skin, face paint, ripped clothing, yoga pants, leggings of inappropriate length or tightness, masks, weapons, and props. Students uncertain about their outfit's compliance are advised to consult with the dean's office beforehand.
Each day of Spring Fling Week features a unique theme:
- Monday, March 24 is "Disney Day," allowing students to wear costumes representing Disney characters including those from Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars.
- Tuesday, March 25 is "Neon Day," where neon tops and accessories that adhere to the dress code can be worn.
- Wednesday, March 26 marks "March Madness College Day," with college apparel such as t-shirts and jerseys permitted. Oversized or sleeveless jerseys require an undershirt.
- Thursday, March 27 is "Escape to the Tropics Day," encouraging Hawaiian shirts and tropical-themed attire within dress code limits.
- Friday, March 28 is "Class Color Day," where each class wears designated colors: blue for freshmen; yellow for sophomores; green for juniors; pink for seniors; and purple for faculty.
On Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., there will be a Spring Mixer for underclassmen themed "Escape to the Tropics." The event will feature pizza, games, music and a Hawaiian dress code. Freshmen and sophomores can purchase tickets through Joliet Catholic Academy's Acceptiva platform.
