Joliet West High School announces back-to-school events and health requirements
Tecara Parker, Principal | Joliet West High School

Families and students of Joliet West High School are encouraged to attend the "Welcome Back Tigers" event from August 4 to August 7. This event is designed to prepare students for the upcoming school year, which begins on Tuesday, August 19. During this time, attendees can pick up class schedules, IDs, bus schedules, purchase PE uniforms, and receive important information for the school year. Assistance with completing the free and reduced lunch application will also be available. The event will be held at Joliet West High School by grade level and last name. Entry is through Door 14 (Field House Entrance).

The event schedule encourages students to attend on their designated date and time to manage foot traffic in the building. However, families with students in different grade levels may attend together on a single day.

Incoming freshmen are invited to Freshman Orientation on Friday, August 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Transportation will be provided for those living more than 1.5 miles away from campus. For transportation inquiries, call 815-727-6873.

Health requirements are also emphasized for incoming freshmen, seniors, and transfer students. Freshmen and transfer students must submit completed health documentation by the first day of school on August 19. Seniors need proof of one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine administered after their 16th birthday.
