Joliet schools prepare for freshman orientation with events at Central and West campuses
Maureen Pulaski, Academy Coordinator | Joliet West High School

Joliet Central and Joliet West High Schools are set to welcome incoming freshmen with an in-person orientation this summer. While attendance is optional, it is strongly encouraged to help students start their high school experience confidently.

The orientation invites all incoming freshmen who will be attending either Joliet Central or Joliet West High School in the fall of 2025. The event is scheduled for Friday, August 8, 2025. Students should attend the session at their respective campuses.

The Joliet Central Campus will host its orientation from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., while the Joliet West Campus will hold its session from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

During the orientation, students can meet staff members, explore the school's layout, participate in team-building activities, and learn about available resources and involvement opportunities.

For those living more than 1.5 miles from their assigned campus, bus transportation will be provided.

Students are required to register online by July 31, 2025. Further details will be communicated via email as the date approaches.

For inquiries, Mrs. Diaz can be contacted at Central Campus and Mrs. Pulaski at West Campus.

"We look forward to seeing our newest Steelmen and Tigers in August!"
