Families and students are reminded that there will be no school on Monday, March 3, in observance of Casimir Pulaski Day. The Joliet Township High School (JTHS) community is encouraged to enjoy the long weekend.
The deadline for District Donor & Committee Scholarships is approaching. JTHS seniors have until midnight on Saturday, March 1, to submit their applications.
The YMCA Teen Achievers program is hosting workshops at Joliet Junior College (JJC). The first session, "Go to College, Not into Debt: Solutions for an Affordable Education," will take place on March 1 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The second workshop, "Finding Free Money for College," is scheduled for April 12 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Parent-teacher conferences for Semester 2 will be held virtually on Thursday, March 6, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students will be dismissed early at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday and will not have classes on Friday.

The JTHS Foundation's annual Trivia Event is set for Sunday, March 9 at 176 West Banquets. Doors open at 2 p.m., with trivia starting at 3 p.m. Proceeds benefit educational grants and scholarships.
March 13 marks School Improvement Day with early release times: Central, West, and Pathway students at 11:45 a.m., AVAC students at 11:30 a.m., and Transition Center students at 10:45 a.m.
The Joliet West Choirs invite the community to their spring musical "The Secret Garden" from March 14-16 in the high school auditorium. Performances are scheduled for March 14 and 15 at 7 p.m., and March 16 at 2 p.m.
A support group meeting for Grandparents Raising Children will occur on March 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., providing guidance on navigating educational systems.
The JTHS Board of Education meeting is also slated for March 18 at the same location as usual. Public comments can be made by signing up before the meeting starts at seven o'clock in the evening.
