The Joliet Township High School Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. Karla Guseman are set to host a State of the District Address on February 5. The event will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Joliet Central High School Student Center & Cafeteria, located at 201 E. Jefferson Street in Joliet.
Attendees, including community members, civic leaders, legislators, parents, staff, and students, are invited to participate in a Meet and Greet session from 5 to 6 p.m. This portion of the event will feature appetizers, musical entertainment, and community resource vendors.
Following the Meet and Greet, the State of the District Address will commence from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The address aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the district’s current status covering academic and financial aspects, as well as the district's five-year Strategic Plan. Additionally, it will touch upon social-emotional supports, facilities updates, activities/athletics programs, and more.
For those attending by car, parking is available in any school lot with building entry through Door J (Auditorium) off Eastern Avenue or via the Main Entrance (Student Center). Handicapped parking and elevator access can be found through I Door off Eastern Avenue or through the Main Entrance.
