Joliet West High School students Makayla Chism, Madison Jadron, Emma Overall, and Ryan Sobun have signed letters of intent with their prospective colleges to continue their athletic careers.
According to the school's announcement, Chism will join the Women's Basketball team at Benedictine University. Jadron has committed to playing Softball at Indiana Technology University. Overall will compete in Women's Swimming at the University of Houston, while Sobun is set to play Baseball at Rock Valley College.
Joliet Township High School extended its congratulations to these students for their commitment to pursuing athletics at the collegiate level.
Overall recently achieved a sixth-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle event at the all-state swim meet on November 16.
The Joliet West Athletics program is led by Steven Millsaps. The student-athletes, known as the Tigers, adhere to core values under the acronym TIGER PRIDE: Toughness, Integrity, Greatness, Energy, and Responsibility. Students are encouraged to balance academics with athletics for overall success.
