Donna Miller School Counselor, (Thor - Z) | Joliet West High School

The 12th Annual Veterans Ceremony is set to take place on Friday, November 8, at the Joliet Central Auditorium located at 201 E. Jefferson Street in Joliet. The event will begin at 2:20 p.m. and is expected to last for an hour.

Veterans who wish to be recognized during the ceremony are encouraged to complete an online form or contact the Community and Alumni Relations Office at (815) 727-1642. Organizers request that only those attending fill out the form due to time constraints during the program.

Attendees can arrive any time after 1:30 p.m., with parking available in all lots. Guests may enter through Door J, which serves as the auditorium entrance off Eastern Avenue, or use the Student Center Circle Drive Main Entrance if they have mobility restrictions.

The ceremony will feature several performances and readings. Participants include JROTC Cadets, the Joliet Central Symphonic Band performing a musical tribute for each branch of service, and the Joliet Central Choirs. ROTC Commander Phil Jayko will read “Duty, Honor, Country,” along with veteran service biographies being shared.

Afterwards, a reception will be held in the Student Center for veterans, military personnel, families, friends, and community members.
