As the new school year at Joliet Township High School approaches, families are being informed about updated procedures for cafeteria and school fee payments. The first day of classes is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19.
The school will not accept cash payments in the cafeteria. Students who want to buy breakfast, lunch, or a la carte items must use a pre-paid account. Deposits can be made online with a debit card, credit card, or e-check. Cash deposits are accepted in person at the Textbook Center. Funds added to accounts become available within 24 hours. Students will use their JTHS Student ID Card to make purchases from their pre-paid account. There is no cost to use this payment platform.
School fees can also be viewed and paid through student accounts online. The system allows parents to browse school items, receive notifications when fees are due, and make payments from any location.
To create an account, parents should sign up online or download the mobile app (MSB Parent, USA) on iOS or Android devices. After creating an account, they can add students using the student's name and ID number, deposit money for meals, pay fees or invoices by adding items to their cart, and check out using a credit/debit card or electronic check.
For assistance with accounts, how-to videos and FAQs are available online.
Families who are not directly certified for free meals or fee waivers through programs such as SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, Foster Child status, or Migrant status may apply online to determine eligibility for free or reduced-price meals and student fee waivers. Students must qualify each year for these benefits.
