Joliet Township High School (JTHS) families have been informed about reserved appointment times for students to receive school physicals, sports physicals, and required immunizations at VNA Health Care. These appointments are intended to prepare students for the upcoming school year.
VNA Health Care accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and serves both uninsured and insured individuals. They offer a sliding payment scale based on income and provide assistance with applying for benefits. "A parent or guardian must be present at the time of the appointment," and a copy of the child's vaccination record is necessary during the visit.
According to Illinois School Code requirements, freshmen and transfer students must submit completed health documentation by October 15, 2025. Seniors are required to provide proof of a meningitis vaccination received on or after their 16th birthday. Failure to comply will result in exclusion from school starting on October 15.
Appointments specifically for JTHS students are scheduled as follows: July 17 from 6:15–7:15 PM; July 23 from 5:30–6:00 PM and 6:30–7:00 PM; July 30 & July 31 from 6:00–7:00 PM; August 6 & August 7 from 6:00–7:00 PM; August 13 from 5:30–6:30 PM; August 14 from 5:45–6:45 PM; August 21 from 6:00–7:00 PM; and August 27 from 6:00–7:00 PM. Additional dates in September and October will be announced later.
It is important to note that these appointments are exclusive to JTHS students and cannot be accessed through the general call center or clinic staff. Slots are limited, so early scheduling is encouraged.
To schedule an appointment, families should call (630)892-4355 Ext.8673 or Ext.8520. These extensions connect directly to the call center with access to JTHS-reserved appointments.
Families are urged not to delay as appointments fill quickly as the school year approaches. The school expressed gratitude for "your continued partnership in supporting your student’s health and education."
