Joliet Central High School hosts Kermes event to benefit scholarship

The annual Kermes celebration is set to take place on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Joliet Central High School Student Center. The event, themed “Juntos Somos Mas Fuertes,” or “Stronger Together,” is organized by the planning committee and aims to offer a multicultural experience for the community.

The Kermes event will focus on celebrating Latinx culture through various activities, including food, music, games, and crafts. It will also feature performances by local artists and students.

Proceeds from the event are intended to support the Joliet Central’s Follow your Dreams Scholarship.
