Joliet Township High School teachers awarded for excellence by local chamber

Six teachers from Joliet Township High School have been recognized with the 2025 Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Great Teacher Award. The award ceremony is scheduled for March 10 at the Jacob Henry Mansion.

The recipients were chosen from a wide pool of educators, nominated by students, colleagues, school administrators, and community members. This recognition highlights the strong collaboration between local businesses and educational institutions in southwest Will County.

The honored teachers are Calvin Lee, Cassie Crim, Gandhi Schlote, Jeremy Krieger, Philip Jayko, and Phimmasorn Lisa Luangsomkham.

"The Joliet Area Great Teachers awards were created to emphasize the vital partnership that exists between businesses and education in southwest Will County."

Congratulations have been extended to these educators for their achievement.
