Families and students are invited to attend the State of the District Address on February 5 at Joliet Central High School. The event will start with a Meet and Greet from 5 to 6 p.m., offering appetizers, musical entertainment, and community resource vendors. The address will follow from 6 to 7:30 p.m., covering topics such as academic and financial health, the district's 5-year Strategic Plan, social-emotional supports, facilities, activities/athletics, and more. Guests are encouraged to RSVP for planning purposes.

The Will County Clerk’s Office is seeking students interested in serving as Student Election Judges for the April 1 Consolidated Election. These judges assist with voter check-in, provide ballots, and ensure a fair election process. Students can earn $200 or request service hours for their participation.

FEMA is accepting applications for its Youth Preparedness Council (YPC), which offers young leaders a chance to develop leadership skills and collaborate on disaster preparedness efforts. Applications are due by March 3.

Registration is open for YMCA Teen Achievers Winter and Spring College Tours scheduled for February 17, April 1-3. These one-day tours include lunch and transportation.

January 30 marks School Improvement Day with early release schedules: Central, West, and Pathway students at 11:45 a.m.; AVAC students at 11:30 a.m.; Transition Center students at 10:45 a.m.

Joliet East Alumni Night will take place on February 7 during the Joliet Central High School Boys & Girls Varsity Basketball Teams' doubleheader games. Alumni receive free entry upon completing a form by February 6 at noon.

The Grandparents Raising Children support group meets next on February 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., offering guidance to grandparents and non-custodial caregivers.

The JTHS Board of Education's next meeting is scheduled for February 18 at 7 p.m. Public comments require sign-up before arrival by 6:50 p.m.

On February 20, Joliet Township High School hosts its second Community Connections Expo & Job Fair from 5 to 7 p.m. at Joliet West High School featuring various resources including job opportunities and entertainment by the Joliet West Band.

Will County CED offers paid summer internships with applications due by February 21. Graduating seniors can apply via provided links.

USF invites JTHS students to "College 101," a bilingual workshop series on February 22 from 10 a.m. to noon designed for high school juniors, seniors, and their families preparing for college success.
