The deadline for registering as a volunteer for the MLK Day of Service is tomorrow, January 3, at 3:45 p.m. The event will be held on Monday, January 20, at Joliet Central High School. On this day, there will be no school.
Volunteers are scheduled to check in and have breakfast from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m., followed by a welcoming ceremony at 8:15 a.m. The service activities are set to take place from 9 a.m. to noon. Afterward, lunch and entertainment will be provided from noon until 2 p.m. Participating students will earn five community service hours.
This opportunity is open to people of all ages. Family members and friends are also encouraged to sign up using the provided link by the deadline.
