The deadline to register as a volunteer for the MLK Day of Service is January 3 at 3:45 p.m. The event will be held on Monday, January 20, at Joliet Central High School. As there are no classes scheduled for that day, it provides an opportunity for community involvement.
Volunteer check-in and breakfast are set from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m., followed by a brief welcoming ceremony at 8:15 a.m. The volunteer service will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, with lunch and entertainment concluding the event from noon to 2 p.m. Participants will earn five community service hours.
Registration is open until January 3 at 3:45 p.m., and all ages are welcome to volunteer. Friends and family members can also register using the provided link.
The announcement concludes with well wishes for students, families, and staff during the holiday break and reminds them that the second semester begins on Wednesday, January 8.
