Joliet schools announce final exam schedule for semester end
Tecara Parker Principal | Joliet West High School

Students and families of Joliet Central and Joliet West are advised of the final exam schedule for the first semester, with details available in both English and Spanish.

On Wednesday, December 18, the schools will follow an eight-period day with one final exam during period two. There will be no changes to student arrival or dismissal times on this day.

For Thursday, December 19, there are two designated arrival times. Students will be released at 1:35 p.m., unless they need to take a make-up exam. The first group should arrive by 8:20 a.m. if they have a period four class. Those with a period four lunch/advisory or study hall are expected at 9:40 a.m., as their classes begin at that time.

On Friday, December 20, students again have two arrival options and will be dismissed at 12:15 p.m., except those taking make-up exams. Freshmen should arrive by 8:20 a.m. for their period one exam, while upper-class students should report by 9:40 a.m. for their period three exam.

Breakfast is available each day; however, no lunch service will be provided on December 19 and 20. Students are encouraged to bring snacks or sack lunches.

Time has been allocated on both December 19 and 20 for any necessary final exam make-ups. Students needing to reschedule an exam must have either themselves or their parent/guardian contact the respective teacher.
