JTHS seeks community input on new student conduct code
Tiffany Alexander School Counselor, (Coop – Fra) | Joliet West High School

The Joliet Township High School (JTHS) Parent-Teacher Advisory Committee is seeking input from families, students, staff, and community members as they update the Student Handbook. This effort is part of a broader goal within the district’s Strategic Plan aimed at minimizing bias in student discipline by ensuring behavior infractions are leveled.

A key component of this initiative is the development of a new Code of Conduct for students. The committee invites stakeholders to review the draft Code of Conduct and provide feedback. Participants can ask questions and suggest changes before the proposed code is presented to the Board of Education for approval for the 2025-2026 school year.

The JTHS and its Parent-Teacher Advisory Committee emphasize their appreciation for community insights and feedback in this process.
