The 28th Annual Betty Mahone Joliet Area Black College & Career Fair will take place on November 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Brown Chapel AME Church in Joliet. The event includes representatives from Historically Black Colleges and Universities and offers scholarship opportunities and community resources.
On November 12, the TRIO Talent Search Beauty & Blades Workshop will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Joliet Central's multipurpose room for those interested in careers in cosmetology or barbering.
