Families, alumni, community members, and business partners are invited to the JTHS CEO Fall Meet & Greet on Friday, November 15. The event will take place at the JTHS Administrative Center located at 300 Caterpillar Drive in Joliet. A hot breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m., followed by the program starting at 9 a.m., and concluding by 10 a.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the CEO Program and explore ways to get involved. Students from the program are eager to present their class business projects that they have been developing.
The JTHS CEO Program is an accredited course designed for senior students interested in learning how to create and manage a business with guidance from industry experts. The program does not take place in a traditional classroom setting. Instead, students travel daily with their teacher to visit one of over 30 Joliet-area businesses that have partnered with JTHS for this innovative course. Each student is paired with a community mentor and works on establishing their own business, which they showcase at a Trade Show event at the end of the school year.
