Joliet Catholic Academy is set to host its inaugural Hall of Champions: Service event, scheduled for October 29, 2024. The ceremony aims to recognize graduates from SFA, JCHS, and JCA who have demonstrated a commitment to service within the community.
The academy has a rich history of instilling values of service through its Carmelite and Franciscan traditions over its 155-year presence in Joliet. These teachings have encouraged graduates to make significant contributions globally. The event will celebrate individuals who embody these principles by recognizing God's presence in everyday life and encouraging others to do the same.
The inductees for this year include Sr. Anna Marie Becker, O.S.F., Sue Bornhofen, Kathy Hibner, Dr. John Kahler, Ken and Amy Mihelich, Dr. Tim Schuster, Rev. Jeffery R. Smialek, O. Carm., and Max Ziesmer.
The induction ceremony will take place at Jacob Henry Mansion in Joliet, Illinois. It will begin with cocktails at 5:00 p.m., followed by a sit-down dinner at 6:00 p.m., with the induction ceremony afterward.
