Village announces leaf collection program starting October

The Public Works Department has announced the start of its Curbside Leaf Collection Program. This initiative will begin in the second full week of October and is expected to conclude by December 1st or with the first snowfall. The collection will occur between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm. Leaves placed on the parkway after crews have passed will be collected the following week.

Residents are reminded to adhere to specific guidelines to ensure safety and efficiency. Additionally, a Bagged Leaf & Yard Waste Collection Program is available through Waste Management until December 15th. Approved bags filled with leaves and yard waste can be left at the curb for pickup on regular trash days, adhering to a 50-pound weight limit per bag. Branches must be cut into four-foot lengths, tied into bundles not exceeding 50 pounds.
