All eighth-grade students are required to take the PSAT 8/9 test for placement and scheduling into Joliet Township High School classes next school year. This testing applies to all students in Joliet-area public schools.
For those attending private schools or public school students who missed the initial testing day, the PSAT 8/9 test is scheduled for Saturday, October 26. Testing will be conducted at both Joliet West and Joliet Central Campuses.
Students should arrive by 7:30 a.m. and are expected to be picked up by 11:00 a.m. Testing locations include Central Campus at Door #1 via the main entrance circle drive, and West Campus at Door #1 near the smaller parking lot off Glenwood & Larkin Ave. Importantly, there is no walk-in testing; all students must pre-register through their middle schools.
Testing is planned to conclude by 11 a.m., though it may finish slightly earlier. Students need to bring two #2 pencils and a calculator, but cell phone calculators are not permitted.
The administration emphasizes that students who do not participate in the PSAT 8/9 placement test will be unable to complete their high school registration process.
